External Door Fittings serve a dual purpose. Firstly they perform an important function and secondly they help dress the door. The style and finish you select will relate directly to the colour and dimension of the door.

USEFUL TIPS

If you are replacing existing fittings it is fairly straightforward to replace the Knob and Knocker, however the letterplate is a different matter.

As your door has been cut to suit your existing plate, the chances of buying a replacement plate the exact same size are very small, so please take three measurements before purchasing.

A) The height and width of the aperture.
B) The distance between the Bolt Holes.
C) The overall size.

This information will help a lot in minimising the possible alteration. Please note we do not recommend the use of Lacquered Brass Fittings for external use, as all lacquers will in time fail.
